BIOGRAFIA
Alberto Ferlenga, architetto, responsabile scientifico del PRIN, dopo aver insegnato a Milano e Napoli è rettore dal 2015 dell’Università Iuav di Venezia, di cui è stato precedentemente Direttore della Scuola di Dottorato e professore ordinario di Progettazione Architettonica. È fondatore dell’Associazione Villard che raggruppa l’omonimo seminario e il dottorato internazionale Villard d’Honnecourt. Visiting professor in diverse università americane ed europee e vincitore del Leone di Pietra della Biennale di Venezia nel 1984, è stato redattore delle riviste Lotus International (1981-1996) e Casabella (1996-2006). Ha diretto il settore Architettura e Territorio della Triennale di Milano (2011-2017) e dal 2019 è accademico di San Luca. Da anni si occupa del tema scuole in occasione dei Laboratori di Progettazione di cui è responsabile, scrivendo saggi, partecipato a mostre, seguendo tesi di laurea e ricerche. Recentemente è stato responsabile scientifico per la Progettazione di interventi di edifici situati in zone sismiche, programma straordinario voluto dalla Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri per la riapertura delle scuole dopo il sisma che ha colpito il centro Italia nel 2016. La scuola F. Montanari a Mirandola in Emilia-Romagna di cui è progettista (con NAoMI) è pubblicata in diverse riviste.
Alberto Ferlenga is an architect and scientific director of PRIN ProSA.
After teaching in Milan and Naples he has been dean of Università Iuav di Venezia since 2015, of which he was previously Director of the PhD School and full professor of Architectural Design. He is the founder of the Villard Association which brings together the homonymous seminar and the Villard d’Honnecourt international PhD. He has been visiting professor in several American and European universities and winner of the Leone di Pietra award of the Venice Biennale in 1984; he was editor of the magazines Lotus International (1981-1996) and Casabella (1996-2006). He directed the Architecture and Territory branch of the Milan Triennale (2011-2017) and since 2019 he is a member of the San Luca academy. He has been dealing with the theme of school buildings for years, in the design studios he teaches, by writing essays, participating in exhibitions, and by following degree theses and researches. Recently he was principal investigator for the design of interventions of buildings located in seismic areas, a special programme launched by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for the reopening of schools after the earthquake that hit central Italy in 2016. F. Montanari school in Mirandola in Emilia-Romagna of which he is the designer (with NAoMI) is published in various magazines.
